An Inconvenient Truth
Al Gore has spent the last 6 years reflecting on his ill-fated attempt at winning the US presidency. I voted for him. I did this because he was the lesser of the two evils. He just never possessed a stage presence/persona like other potential presidential canidates. I have more personality in my left shoe than this guy. This moment of reflection for Al Gore has treated him very kindly. He possesses this new found swagger or moxy if you will. He found his charisma. Most importantly, he has stayed true and is doing everything he can do to sell the biggest energy wasters in the world that we are going to have to reduce that amount of CO2 we emit dramatically. Al Gore was in Denver to plug his movie/documentary that has done tremendously well and has garnered much press and well deserved. He was the talk of Sundance this year and now he was at my favorite movie theater in Denver, the Pavillions in 16th St Mall. The movie was made brilliantly although I felt at times like I was watching a bad politcal spot or even the fact that he had alterior motives but he suprisingly did well. I want this movie to do well, and most importantly, I want this movie viewed by schools. If kids learn young that you don’t have to consume as much energy as everyone else, this ideals will stick with them till the day they die. For the most part I feel that I’m socially conscious about our world. After watching this movie, I felt that I knew nothing and this movie just totally schooled me.
Here is a trailer for the movie
