The Floridian tide brought us Holiday Shores last night. The CMJ darlings from a couple of weeks ago came well equipped with lots of reverb to deliver the goods. The quartet proved that their full album is worthy of all A Side status, even when it’s played live. The translation proved to be more effective than their recorded material. The polished material on “Columbus’d the Whim” that plays like a “Wall of Sound” produced gem fails to display the dexterity that Holiday Shores is capable of performing live (much like last night). The abbreviated set was highlighted by a tickled version of “Errand of Tongue” and capped off by a dedicated “Phones Don’t Feud”.
