Sylvan Esso pulled double duty in Denver yesterday before their date with the Ogden Theatre. The twosome filled in as deejay’s on the local radio station, Open Air FM. That’s not even mentioning their second date tonight in Colorado over at the surreal hidden gem at the Mishawaka in Ft. Collins.

C=T sent contributor Josie Skinner to take in the magic of Sylvan Esso last night:
The unique chemistry between Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn, otherwise known as the duo Sylvan Esso, sizzled on the stage last night at the Ogden Theater.
Amelia’s roots as a bluegrass singer shown through in her delicate yet tough, and twangy yet angelic voice. She captivated the audience the way only someone who has found their freedom in singing can. Paired with the deep, electropop beats produced by Nick, the duo’s songs give an approachable pop sound, with sarcastic and storytelling lyrics underneath. An anomaly out of North Carolina, Sylvan Esso’s combination of folk and electronic, left the crowd screaming for more and dancing their way out of the theater.
Sylvan Esso’s latest album, “Way Out,” is out everywhere via Loma Vista Recordings.
Sylvan Esso takes over our airwaves tonight at 6 for a Guest DJ session. Don't miss it!
