Upon first listening to the first single from Coldplay titled, “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall,” I knew I had heard that beginning sequence before. It wasn’t until know that I realized it was from the quintessential dance song that I had heard a billion times in the sweaty-ass night clubs in Juarez, namely Vertigo, that I had shaked my can dozens of times. Listen below and compare to Mystic’s, “Ritmo de la Noche.” Moreover, I hadn’t thought of “Ritmo de la Noche” in years, until watching the ultra depressing movie, “Biutiful,” when Javier Bardem shows up at the club, only to have it blaring over the club soundsystem.
