Growing up Latinx or around Latinxs, there was no escaping the hip-swaying sounds of Los Ángeles Azules.

The musical style of “cumbia” is synonymous with the Mexican act, Los Ángeles Azules. We’re talking birthdays, weddings, baptisms, and 15eras was commonplace for the cumbia sounds on the dancefloor.

Most recently, the veteran act of cumbia graced the Latin Grammys stage with solo artist, Ximena Sariñana in Las Vegas with a performance of “Cobarde and Mis Sentimientos.”

Over thirty years of music and shows brought a massive feel of nostalgia amongst the elders at the show not caring about keeping the aisles clear with their dancing and overall jovial disposition.

The night played like a best-of album with takes on “Mi Niña Mujer” and “Nunca Es Suficiente” to name a few. Catch Los Ángeles Azules on tour on the west coast starting later this week.
