It feels like yesterday when Samuel T. Herring gyrated on “Letterman” to the sheer amazement of newly converted Future Islands fans.And like that, a top tier Coachella talent was born. But not really. Future Islands is as DIY as it gets. The East Coast act soaked up as many DIY venues in their early years to give them the raw energy they needed to hit it big. Three years ago saw the release of “Singles,” which would forever change the trio’s lives.
Future Islands have announced the release of their upcoming album, “The Far Field,” with an April 7 release via 4AD. In perhaps even better news, Blondie looks to appear on the new album
