Nada Surf’s new album, “The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy,” isn’t due for release till January 24, but you can listen to the second piece of material from the album today for the price of an email address. If you missed the first track, “When I Was Young,” you can listen here and be on the lookout for Nada Surf to sample their album in it’s entirety via NPR on January 16 and a Fallon appearance on January 30. Opening support for their pending tour will be provided by An Horse. “Waiting for Something” has the same pop-rock sensibilities that have made all Nada Surf releases a sheer pleasure, however, the first couple of tracks seem a bit cathartic.
