Australia’s the Jezabels have been riding the high tide down for quite some time and I finally had the opportunity to sit down and listen to their proper full length “Prisoner” from start to finish. The anthemic album sprawls courageously behind the moody vocals of Hayley Mary which conjures up memories of a Chrissie Hynde and Karen O. The album as a whole plays well, despite some cuts being teetering on the side of arena rock a la Coldplay. “The Prisoner” is out digitally via Mom + Pop records and should see a physical release next year, but you can stream the whole album below. The Aussies are on tour right now with their dates listed here.
