RecordStoreDay

It seems like every year that this national day of commerce gets bigger and bigger. The thought of no record store saddens me, and I hope the independents that are left find a way to be profitable in these dark financial times. Record Store Day starts tomorrow for us when Citizen Cope plays Twist and Shout. See below for more deets! There’s a lot going on, as you can imagine, and for those of you living in Nashville, you’re in for a treat! BTW, I got interviewed about RSD by Twist and Shout. You can read it here, but first a word from the ambassador of Record Store Day.

Spend Record Store Day w/the Raconteurs

Saturday, April 17th is Record Store Day! To celebrate the re-release of The Raconteurs debut LP Broken Boy Soldiers, Third Man Records pressed 300 Copper Colored Record Store Day limited edition copies of the LP. Plus, Brendan Benson and Patrick Keeler, along with some friends, will be performing Raconteurs songs at Third Man as The Racontwoers.

But before that all kicks off, Third Man will have the three remaining Go Karts from the “Steady, As She Goes” video on display and for a small fee you can have a Polaroid picture taken with them. However, even more exciting is that if you buy any piece of Raconteurs merchandise at the Third Man Records shop, you will receive a raffle ticket to enter to win either Brendon Benson’s or Jack Lawrence’s Go Kart. There will be no limit on the amount of tickets you can buy.

Additionally, Jack White’s very own Copper Kid Go Kart will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with all proceeds to benefit the Nashville Homeless Mission. It’s a good cause, so bid high! All that and BBQ, Popsicles from Las Paletas, DJs and much more!
