I never thought I would read anywhere that New Order’s Bernard Sumner would be making new music since Peter proclaimed the band broken up. I’m not sure if the last laugh will be on Peter Hook, but I’ve read somewhere where he gives Bernard props for the new material. The new band’s name is Bad Lieutenant (shit name, but whatevs and no official Myspace page as of yet) but they have their debut album to be released Oct 5th, titled, Never Cry Another Tear. Their first single, Sink or Swim, will be released Sept. 21st and I’m at a loss for words. I’m beyond excited, nervous, and all of the above. The band is comprised of Phil Cunningham (New Order guitarist), Bernard Sumner (New Order vocalist), and newbie lead vocalist, Jake Evans. Stephen Morris (New Order drummer) and Alex James (Blur) both helped out in the recording process of the full length. Christmas has come in July!!! (via NME)

The ablum is going to be great and the new single Sink or Swim is very good also, anything that Bernard Sumner touches gold, but one thing that is bothering me so much is the album artwork, New Order and anything related to their music comes with great artwork but the album cover for the new Bad Lieutenant album Never Cry Another Tear is totally unacceptable, anyone can make this in their home it requires no talent, I don’ think they took any time or interest to design the sleeve , it is just a BLACK & WHITE cover with a scribble, VERY VERY VERY UNACCEPTABLE, I hope you take your time to change the album cover with some art and color, here is the link so you can see it for yourself.
