Yellow Bird Project
This is a project that brings two things that I love most, music and raising money for charities. Believe it or not, I am chair on a lot of committees at my real job raising money for various charities in the Metro area. However, Yellow Bird Project , has a different way of going about raising money for charity. From the horse’s mouth:
All of our designs are printed on sweatshop free t-shirts. There are a lot of people who have volunteered to help make this happen, but of course none of us get paid, and 100% of the profits go to charity.
So far we have collaborated with bands such as Wolfmother, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Devendra Banhart, Rilo Kiley, King Creosote, and others. We also have designs in the works from bands like the Magic Numbers, Jose Gonzalez, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
We have been raising funds for charities all around the globe, such as the Teenage Cancer Trust, Greenpeace, Amnesty International, The Acoustic Neuroma Association of Canada, the Elliott Smith Memorial Fund (which raises money for Free Arts for Children), MercyCorps, and others.
Here you can see an article which featured us on the homepage of the Teenage Cancer Trust website:

We have also been awarded the Young Philanthropic Award for people under the age of 25 (by the Association of Fundraising Professionals).
The t-shirts are 25 dollars each, and 100% of the profits go to the charity of the artist’s choice.
