Cause = Time @ the movies

ATL = P.O.S. (WTF x OMG)

WOW what a snoozer of a movie. I was anticipating this movie for quite sometime, and made a Saturday Matinee w/some friends of mine. We all went in with an open mind expecting drugs, gang violence, cheezy friend/family intervention, you know, the ushe…Wow, were we mistaken. I don’t want people that I want to perpetuate this vicious cycle where certain ethnicities are painted in a certain light, but I can’t help it, I think it’s funny. That said, I think the subject matter of this coming of age movie was a direct result of the guy who wrote ‘Drumline’ wrote this movie as well, but not even T.I. and Big Boi could save this stinker. So, an hour went by and I think all four of collectively were harnessing our inner energy to God because the fire alarm went off which allowed for us to not only get out of the movie, but also get a refund in the process. I think the only deeming quality (notice quality is singular) of the movie is the eye candy from the ATL ladies were just ghetto fabulous, but in a good way….like one of those rap guy’s girlfriends….

Lucky Number Slevin-

Coined as a Tarantino rip-off, is well worth seeing. Josh Hartnett, widely unknown for his acting abilities, has definitely redeemed himself as of late. He has been very selective with his movie roles , case and point, ‘Sin City’ and his current role. He pulled this one off, and for the most part, I usually hate Bruce Willis movies, just for the sole fact that he always plays a bad ass. Kind of like Matt Damon, but in this situation he was very tolerable. Add in a couple of regulars that usually turn in solid performances, Morgan Freeman and Sir Ben Kingsley upheld their end of the bargain. Top it all off with an overly witty Lucy Liu and you have a very smart susepensful thriller .
Inside Man-

One of Spike Lee’s best movies to date and his 80th movies w/Spike Lee that takes place in NYC. If anybody can name me a movie of his that doesn’t take place in NYC, I will kindly give you a crisp $1 bill. It has the usual social themes that are usually webbed in his movie, i.e. racial profiling for the Arab community, police racism, and on and on. It was definite nail biter and had me on the edge of my seat till the ending credits

and movies that I can’t wait to see–
American Dreamz and Thank you for Smoking
