MONDAY MADNESS………..
Several things of note from this weekend, shall we start, perhaps in sequential order????
I finally caught “The Squid and the Whale” and I must say that Anna Paquin and Jeff Daniels stole the show. Especially Jeff Daniels. The onscreen banter was very reminiscent of a Wes Anderson movie. Once the credits starting rolling, I finally discovered that Wes Anderson produced the movie. So there you have it. Best line and soon will be part of my repetoire is when Bernard (Jeff Daniels) informs his sons that he has rented an elegant house across the park in what he calls “the filet of the neighborhood.” For anything to be the filet of a certain kind is true comedy!!!
Friday=Night of debauchery @ Milk Bar w/ DJ Elroy and Digital Disko
Random, DJ Elroy, and myself
The two kidz from the Beatpimpz played a VS. set that was very tantalizing in every sense of the word and pulled out many surprises, including one of which Digital Disko busted out with one of my favorite singles out right now from Mylo “In My Arms” which you can stream at http://www.radioblogclub.com/search/0/mylo_
Saturday= Pena @ 15th St. Tavern
15th St. Tavern by far is the diviest of al dive bars. The White Stripes , Murder City Devils, and several other big time bands have played at this Denver landmark. Not only did it add toambianceience of the very successful CD release show by Pena, but proved to live up to the name. New material was played by Pena and I do have to say that I cannot wait till they start playing what they have been holding out from us all this time. My only qualm is that I felt the show was a bit short, that or my pitchers of beer weren’t coming fast enough.
Wow, is that Jon Bonham??
Arcade Fire played Union Square in New York
I’m late on this, but so goes, I have to post this because of my unhealthy obsession with New Order. Courtesy of

Seems that they covered “Age of Consent” by New Order … ughhh, I would have given my first born to see this. Here is a live cut of this song from New Order 08-25-84 courtesy of
Let the Hatas hate!!! Coldplay in Denver
Lastly Coldplay has announced some new tourdates, and finally Denver is included in the shuffle. Tickets go on sale Nov. 19 and the show is Feb. 19, 2006. I like Coldplay and have been given some much shit for this, but I think that they put on a great live show, and thats that!!
