Esmé Patterson feat. Nathaniel Rateliff – My Young Man – Official Video from Rett Rogers on Vimeo.
The track itself has paired two of my favorite artists that happen to be locals. Esmé Patterson wears many hats: Paper Bird founder, backup singer in Tennis and a burgeoning solo career. “My Young Man” is a duet off of Patterson’s solo album, “All Princes.” The intimate video skillfully captures the vulnerabilities of a desolate nighttime in the middle of nowhere. The contrast in Esmé’s face and lipstick do a lot for the video in an understated way. Not to mention the pretty cool hot air balloon ride.
