The name of the band dictates one that is comparable to that of a diet supplement (or maybe that was Dexatrim), but these Southerners have created an album that sounds like they’d be damned if the South had lost the war or perhaps that Lynrd Skynrd’s classic should be the new Star Spangled Banner. But they’re so much more. They had the sense to have a certain Mr. Mark Nevers (Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy) produce their forthcoming album, Singlewide (release date May 12th via Skybucket / Cornelius Chapel Records) and have a Silver Jew guest spot on the album (last recording of David Berman that we know of). Maybe they don’t acknowledge anything west of the Mississip’ , but here are some tour dates below.
