Max Fleischer is back. No more Phantom Planet to hide behind, no more drum set. This is the real deal. The music is breezy, easy, and I wouldn’t expect for the album to change many lives. Everything about the album is great, it’s very palatable, but the lyrics are a little on the remedial side, but this album isn’t about that, it’s sooo much more. You find Mister Schwartzman to be playful and it’s quite enjoyable to listen to him explore the different interests that have influenced the album so profoundly.
