Hype is something that is hard to live up to, then you have Thailand. These group is having praise sung by fellow reputable bloggers, Ryan and Miss Jax. I did have some reservations about this release, but when I read that they were all head over heals with these kids from Califas, I figured I would give it a chance. The album has a very Ric Ocasek feel to it in a way that would have him fronting the band and not in a way with him on the production side. There is a heavy emphasis on the synth, grown up angst, and musical bliss. Buy their album from their Myspace page . Did I mention that it was mastered by Dave Cooley of Silversun Pickups fame. Hmmm…..
