Electrelane

My first SXSW experience was seeing Electrelane at an Insound Party playing with Trans Am, that’s if memory serves me right. However, I remember picking up Power Out, and being immediately blown away by the single On Parade. It was hard for me to fathom how hard anybody could rock in the manner as these lovely ladies. They sing on occasion, but definitely jam extensively. I have listened with great anticipation to their new album which they report on their website as follows:

“We’ve finished the record! Our fourth album will be released in 2007, at the end of April. It’s called ‘No Shouts, No Calls’ and it has 11 tracks.”

Seems as though they have covered all the pertinent bases with that release. Their studio work is great, but their live show is an experience.
