Their new album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, is considered to be their “night” album. I’m still trying to grasp their definition of “night”, like in terms of an all night bender, or perhaps a night with hookers. After several listens of the new album, I’m not turned off like I was when I eagerly anticipated , You Could Have It So Much Better. The group explores beats not heard on their previous outing and the incorporation of different tempos (not the same ra ra ra exuberance heard non-stop on older material) is highly welcomed.
