I would say that 95% of the people that I socialize with love Spoon. Of those 95% of people, 65% say that they don’t like Spoon live because they’re boring. Is boring mistaken with conciseness? Spoon’s performances that I’ve had the pleasure of viewing have always been like listening to their album. Not a bad thing, they did do a Paul Simon cover that Heather noticed that they did on Daytrotter. See, they’re not boring, after all. They like distortion live, there’s another thing. When I think of more things that make them not boring live, I will let you know….
