The septet aka Or, the Whale is from San Francisco, but you swear they were from Santa Cruz. I say that because their sound is not from the city but the ocean (yes, I know that SF is by the ocean) but Santa Cruz is a pretty close, but very laid back. Much like the music from Or, the Whale. The impeccable use of the pedal steel on these tracks below are superb and alternating vocals between AP Robins and Lindsay Garfield is brilliant. The songs speak of a twangy life by the sea and is well captured by the songs of hope , life, and everything in between.
