Vampire Weekend

A new night at the Snake Pit for goths?! Could be, however, this is the newest band from NYC to move to the beat of a certain David Byrne and Brian Eno. Their sound, and I’m sure it’s been written, because it’s that evident, is latter Talking Heads, with that world beat/music, upbeat rhythm, and excellent use of diction. I came across their name in the newest issue of Rolling Stone Anniversary Issue (it looked shiny and kind of cool). Check it out.
