In the latest issue of Spin, the family Followhill are featured on the cover and depicted as a bunch of hacks that learned their chops in the span of a couple of months and have matured with the release of every new album. The Pentecostal brethren ditched their producer Ethan Johns in favor of a sexier rockier sound well noted on their latest release, Only the Night. I liked that KOL was the South’s answer to the Strokes and IMHO their most recent effort is kind of a snoozer but the material did come alive in concert. The ladies were loving their fair share of Caleb, but I think secretly, they were crushing on Nathan. The guys aren’t crazy rockers anymore, but that’s a good thing because they can focus more on their performance and visibly fantastic wardrobe (I’m looking at you Caleb, with your Dior white boots).
