The Velvet Teen (No, I haven’t forgotten about you…)
The Velvet Teen have quietly released their album “Cum Laude” a couple of weeks ago without a whole lot of press. I was introduced to their music that captivated me immediately. Their first single that I listened to “Prize Fighter” reminded me of that one scene in (insert movie) where the guy in the movie is trying to win back the girl, and he’s racing to the (insert place) and he barely makes it in the nick of time. “Cum Laude” is an interesting progression in their music. They have decided to take the “Kid A” approach and the album is all over the map.
