Kinky Releases New Album

Mexican Band Kinky releases a new album titled ‘Reina’ (Queen in Spanish) in September and is scheduled to go on a North American Tour. I am uber excited about this news. I saw them on tour last year w/Cafe Tacuba and found them to be the real draw of the night. They are one of the most electrifying live acts that are around right now blending the right amount of Mexican influenced music with the right amount of rock.

Mexican dance-hall all-stars, Kinky, have announced a handful of North American tour dates along with some festival appearances for the upcoming months. The band will be touring in support of their latest album, Reina, which hits stores September 5. Reina (Mexican for “queen”) is Kinky’s third studio album and is coming after nearly a three-year break since their last album, Atlas. The album boasts guest spots by Men At Work frontman Colin Hay (yes, that guy from the Garden State soundtrack), Mexican alt-rock singer Ely Guerra and Intocable’s accordion player, Rick Munoz.
