Saturday-

The return of local band Peña….. I have been counting the days for this show. Pena will be playing the 15th St Tavern and will not disappoint. Peña gives me hope that one day there will be a prominent local music scene. Most of the local heavies usually just make a name a leave. i.e. Apples in Stereo, Dressy Bessy, and Devotchka. Peña is a complex band that is in the heart of West Texas band Explosions in the Sky. What seperates the two is I feel where Explosions leaves Peña picks right up. A more progressive beat and tempo that builds its texture one on top of the other.
