Broken Social Scene Update

Just got this update from Broken Social Scene and Arts & Crafts….btw, this movie w/Ryan Gosling was on my list of movies to watch from Sundance and turns out Broken Social Scene will be contributing, how huge is that!!

Broken Social Scene and the soundtrack for the new film, “Half Nelson”Broken Social Scene’s music is prominently featured in the upcoming THINKFilm release, “Half Nelson.” The film stars Ryan Gosling as an inner-city junior high school teacher with a drug habit who forms an unlikely friendship with one of his students after she discovers his secret. The film open August 11 in New York and Los Angeles, August 25 in select cities including Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, and in wider release in September.
The soundtrack to “Half Nelson” will be released August 8 on Lakeshore Records and will feature three songs from BSS: “Stars and Sons,” “Da Da Da Da,” and “Shampoo Suicide.”
