Gary Louris

Does the name above look familiar to you? I didn’t recognize it either. Gary Louris IS the voice of defunct band the Jayhawks. This alt-twang star has been MIA for a while, but don’t despair, he has come back with a few of his friends. Chris Robinson from the Black Crowe’s helped on the production duties, and the Laurel Family Choir. WTF is the Laurel Family Choir you ask? Well, you have the Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs, Jenny Louis of Rilo Kiley, the Chapin Sisters and Black Crowes’ frontman Chris Robinson. Whoa (Joey Lawrence voice)! Gary Louris will also be helping out the Dixie Chicks on their latest albums as well. The album Vagabonds was released via Rykodisc and you can purchase it here. Be sure to catch him on tour too!
