It is a great movie! With Daniel Johnston, you have built-in content to begin with. But I really thought the filmmaker executed wonderfully. Also, if you haven’t listened to Discovered Covered, one of the compilations of Daniel Johnston songs performed by other artists, you should.
nah, i haven’t listened to that compilation, but it sounds good….i’m sure sonic youth is on it…
Actually they aren’t. The first disc is the covers and the second is the originals. Dream Scream by Death Cab For Cutie and True Love Will Find You In The End by Beck are particular stand outs for me. Here is the playlist:
