Kinky is one of the most important music acts of the last twenty years from Mexico.
Melding the regional sounds from south of the border with electronic flare, Kinky is mixing things up on their latest single “Llena De Mentiras” by incorporating a satirical spin to lighten things up.
“It is also a form of social criticism that portrays our reality in which we are full of filters and alterations in order to sell an Instagram version of ourselves. The production flirts in a way with the urban genre, without losing Kinky’s essence; We can get away and twist a bit electronic music in order to create new sounds”
Gil Cerezo – lead vocalist
No word on what plans the Mexican trailblazers have for a follow-up to the 2017 album, “Nada Vale Más Que Tú.”
