Denver received the equivalent of world pop royalty Tuesday night with a visit from Spanish international music star, Alejandro Sanz.
The gruff Madrid born icon serenaded a house full of swooning fans that did their best at not fainting due to the immediate heart melt by the seasoned artist.
With a full musical cannon at his disposal, one of Spain’s biggest musicians brought fans to their knees and dared many a lady to storm the stage for a quick peck on the cheek or a larger than life selfie.
As sometimes backing bands can be exactly that, “backing bands,” Sanz’s backing band was the unspoken champions of last night with their ability to change tempos, dance numbers and instruments with high precision.
In not so shocking news, Sanz has been doing the whole international pop sensation for thirty years. In that time, Sanz has achieved a cumulative twenty Grammys (Latin included), sold world tours and collaboration with Queen Bey. It would be extremely easy for Alejandro to rest on the laurels of his previous albums spanning multiple decades.
Rest is not in the cards for the solo artist. 2019 saw the release of his thirteenth album” #ElDisco.” In recent years, Sanz has used his 4 million follower platform on Instagram and other social media outlets as a catapult for social justice and “Dreamers” here in the United States.
