OKO TYGRA unknowingly released the soundtrack to spring.
For the longest time, the Denver quartet played behind the strength of a 7″ that always left fans with a “will they or won’t they” release a full-length album.
Two years later, the wait is over. Lead vocalist Joshua Novack and company put their collective brilliance into a densely textured first full length with the release of “Assistoma,” April 19 via Grey Market Records.
The heaviness of winter is behind us, and OKO TYGRA captures a perfect mix of breeziness with enough shoegaze to punctuate on Novack’s brooding vocals.
For those lucky to be in Denver, OKO TYGRA plays an album release party over at Hi-Dive Friday, April 19 (tickets).
