Sharon Van Etten unleashes her teenage self with “Seventeen”

Sharon Van Etten is going to make 2019 her year.

The solo artist ended her 2018 supporting the National before some sizable crowds performing some of her new material that we were able to catch that was unfamiliar, but struck a chord and planted a seed.

The first couple of singles released from the Jagjaguwar titled “Remind Me Tomorrow” scheduled to surface January 18 display Van Etten as an artist that has progressed immensely over the last decade.

It will be “Remind Me Tomorrow” that catapults her to the next level. If “Comeback Kid” and “Jupiter 4” didn’t make you take notice, Sharon’s latest offering of “Seventeen” will make you reevaluate your teenage years. From one Jersey native to another, Van Etten’s nod to “the Boss” is subtle, but just enough to give the icon a head nod.
