It’s not far-fetched to think that the clout once held by the Austin music community for discovery for SXSW is dwindling.Allow Treefort Music Fest to enter stage scene right. The venerable Idahoan music soiree is a five-day affair very much like SXSW with the exception of all of the buzz and congestion of 6th Street.
After eight years running, Treefort is taking its rightful place amongst the middle tier of festivals that seem to “get it.”
Fans aren’t looking for the “VIP” experience where they can sit in a plush chair close to the stage. It’s about the music!
