Kanye West might need a hug from Drake

Kanye West might be on or off his meds.

The embattled and one time avid lover of all things #MAGA, took to Twitter this evening with a Twitter storm that added more than a generous amount of kindling and kerosene to a beef between Drake and Mister West.

The beef started in 2011 when Jay Z and Kanye were working on, and about to release watch the throne which drake claims was a stolen idea in a conversation the two had about his and Lil Wayne’s collaborative album that was supposed to drop that year. The two reconciled in 2013 when Drake brought out Kanye in his performance during OVO Fest. The two teased a joint album in 2016 but it looks like it was never finished due to behind the scenes beef that carried into 2017. Kanye teased Drake and DJ Khalid’s radio success with this comment in 2017

“Is it just me or did you hear that song so many times—you say you wanna play ‘For Free’. Aye, aye. You know what it is, though? Because aye, I love Drake. I love Khaled. But they set that song up, bro. … Khaled, I know you got hitters from Miami. Please do not send them at my head. I just want to have a conversation about how we playing radio’s game. Khaled, you a real n*gga. Khaled, you a real n*gga. You got the keys.”

Drake would later acknowledge Kanye’s comments and say

“I’m not really sure why (Khalid and I were the targets of the choices you made that night, and yeah I accept what you’re going through, and I just gotta continue working on my own thing.”

The beef seemed to have cooled down when Kanye appeared on Drake’s studio album “More life” on the song “glow,” but it seemed to spiral out of control when there were conspiracy theories suggesting that Kanye was the one who gave Pusha T the information about Drake’s child. Kanye was quick to deny these allegations saying

“I’m ‘Ye. I got major things to do other than be telling him some information about Drake.”

Kanye hints at yet more behind the scenes beef hinting at Drake lashing out at him in an aggressive manner in an interview with WGCI.

“People be around your family and be in your house and this and that then, they get mad about a beat and send purple demon emojis,” West said. “I don’t play like that, I don’t play in that place… It’s like, look, it ain’t no beef.”

It appears Drake wasn’t throwing shade there when a snippet of an unreleased Drake and French Montana song appeared to have Drizzy rapping –

“Keeping it G, I told her don’t wear no 350s ’round me.”

Clearly taking a shot at Kanye through his wildly successful Adidas shoe brand “Yeezy”.  Kanye later tried to diffuse the beef in a series of tweets explaining the behind the scenes conversations they were having regarding Drake’s beef with Kid Cudi and Pusha T. Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew

I haven’t seen the show in person but the images look incredible online I understand where the confusion started

The beef was further escalated when Kanye was calling out Drake’s potential claims of having a relationship with Kim Kardashian in Drake’s hit song “In my feelings” claiming that “KiKi” was a short word for his wife.

“The fact that people are making rumors and thinking that you fucked my wife and you’re not saying anything and you’re carrying it well like that. Don’t sit well with my spirit,” he said. “You know, if I had a girlfriend from Chicago and her name was Ranita and you were married to Rihanna, I wouldn’t make no song called RiRi. So when you’re like, ‘Oh, I don’t know where it comes from.’ You’re too smart for that, bro. You know where it came from.”

West is known for his theatrics, but there’s a certain level of sincereness in his Tweet-storm this evening directed towards Champagne Papi.
