The solo artist is experiencing a musical awakening that has the feels of southwestern roots from a Cormac McCarthy novel.
Fans of the troubadour won’t have to wait very long for a new album. Anti Records is releasing “Tip of the Sphere” February 8 as the ninth album in the catalog of the talented musician.
In support of the new material, famed videographers La Blogotheque captured Cass with a pianist and a stand-up bass in a train car. Of course, all that is described above has the makings of a Wes Anderson movie, but I assure you that a bandaged Owen Wilson made no appearance in the gorgeously shot video OF “Estrella” and “Sleeping Volcanoes.”
Look out for a full tour next year with Sam Evian providing support as the opener. (Photo credit: Silvia Grav)
