Sunday night, C=T contributor Manuel Aragon took in the hip-shaking sounds of Latin star, Ozuna.

On a cold dreary night, Denver came out in full force to support reggaetón and Latin trap star Ozuna, on tour for his latest album, Aura. Over the course of his nearly two-hour set, Ozuna weaved his way through his impressive selection of hits. He sang, rapped, and danced, the set alternating between songs from his two studio albums, Odisea and Aura, as well as a number of his features from singles, collaborations, and remixes.

The show started off with the mellow “Aura”, fireworks lighting up the stairway as Ozuna made his entrance, a smile on his face as the crowd screamed and cheered for him. That smile was a constant throughout the night, a sign that even as his fame has grown exponentially, Ozuna still enjoyed the evening as much as his fans.

Ozuna‘s stage setup took full advantage of the arena setting. Backed by a full band on a multi-level stage, along with a spectacular video, light, and pyrotechnics show, the production took his songs to a new level. During “Taki Taki”, Ozuna performed in front on an 8-bit animation of his collaborators on the song, DJ Snake, Cardi B, and Selena Gomez. The video screens and stage were ablaze during “El Farsante”, animated flames moving across the screen while real flames shot out of the stage, hot enough to warm up the crowd in the first few rows sweat. Highlights from the night include“Tu Foto”, “Única”, “Quiero Más” and “Bebe”, each made better by the accompanying video and light show.

The Aura Tour gives us a chance to see Ozuna grow into a full-blown reggaetón superstar, on the level of J. Balvin and Daddy Yankee which is not to be missed.

The Aura Tour makes it way through the USA until the end of the year.
