Taylor Swift brought the”Reputation” stadium tour to Denver this past Friday to a well illuminated Sports Authority Field adodrned with a packed house of “Swifties” with magical bracelets. Not many artists in today’s musical climate can carry a full stadium show without the help of a fierce undercard or large music festival associated with the tour. Taylor Swift followed up her strong “1989” stadium tour with the next step in her metamorphasis of music bad girl with the serpent heavy “Reputation” tourn fully equipped with large king cobra props the size of a small city apartment buildings.

Lost in the extensive country/pop voyage is the part Cirque du Soleil/part Broadway show that accompanied Swift with a six act show with multiple video montages and countless wardrobe changes. Young Tay Tay is growing up before our very eyes with her cherry lipstick and smart media savvy.

But is it far fetched that this once country starlet of frayed jeans, wavy hair and cowboy boots want to create a relentless bad girl persona? Sure the “aw shucks” demeanor can only take her so far. If “1989” is any indicator of the career map that T-Swizzle is following, what’s in store for fans of a patent leather thigh high boots with seductive lyrics post the “Reputation” album?

Friday night displayed a confident woman with a Kanye beef well in the rearview mirror blazing a trail for other artist’s that doesnt’ require frequent TMZ posts for risque behavior. Even with certain numbers throughout the night, the choreography never approached “PG-13” level and stuck to a talented and tasteful approach of dance before a bevy of pre-teens. I forgot what it was like to be in a show of this magnitude. We’re all suckers for those summer blockbuster type shows, and Friday was no different eqiupped with flame blowing props and fourth of July style fireworks. Taylor left it all on the stage and definitely warranted the high ticket prices for the fifty plus date tour.
