Seven years since we last heard from UK’s tropical dance act Friendly Fires. Most believed that the trio called it a career but the delivery of their first single since “Pela” released in May 2011 via XL Records. “Love Like Waves” marks a triumphant return for the threesome from Hertfordshire, England.

Not much has changed sonically since “Blue Cassette” hit the internet with the release of “Love Like Waves,” but is that such a bad thing? The three excel in creating airy pop dance music perfect for large gatherings. Speaking of large gatherings, catch Friendly Fires at their one of many music festival appearances this summer. No news of a new album has been released, but it shouldn’t be too far behind.
