Gomez came out of nowhere to win the Mercury Prize against the likes of legends, Massive Attack’s “Mezzanine” and The Verve’s “Urban Hymns.” The heated competition in 1998’s contest created quite the stir. Twenty years later, the guys brought the band back together to support a twentieth-anniversary tour that lands in Denver this June! In support of the anniversary, audiophiles have a treasure trove of nuggets set to be released April 20th (insert gratuitous weed joke here).
