It’s good to have the lo-fi electronic odyssey that is known as the music of John Maus back in full effect. Six years have come and gone since the release of “We Must Become the Pitiless Censors of Ourselves.”

As C=T reported earlier, Maus is scheduled to release his latest project, “Screen Memories,” October 27 via Ribbon Music. The time off from the spotlight allotted the mathematical whiz to expound on new material. Listen to the first single, “The Combine,” over here in case you missed it.

In related John Maus news, watch the Natasha Lyonne clip with Maya Rudolph singing “Quantum Leap” in full costume in the short, “Cabiria, Charity, Chastity.” Lyonne’s commissioned clip celebrates the KENZO Fall/Winter 2017 fashion collection that stars the likes of Lyonne, Fred Armisen, Greta Lee, James Ransone, Matt Lucas, Macaulay Culkin, Waris Ahluwalia and Leslie Odom Jr.
