Last night’s music on television was peak entertainment starring: Thundercat, Ryan Adams and the War on Drugs

Thundercat ::: Bluebird Theatre ::: 02.22.17

Monday night’s musical guests on the telly brought the top tier of talent on national television. Thundercat brought the best party favors to his performance with the assists from legends, Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins. Can we just get the three to make an album already?! The three teamed up for the lead single off of the album, “Drunk,” with “Show You the Way.” Look for Thundercat to hit the road with two Colorado dates this fall (dates below).

The War on Drugs is fighting the good fight. The Philly crew released one of the most quintessential sounding TWOD tracks you’ll ever hear with “Holding On” last week, along with a slew of tour dates in support. Last night culminated the great news with an inspiring live performance of “Holding On.”

Lastly, the denim jacket toting troubadour is plugging his latest offering with “Prisoner” with the heart-wrenching take on “Doomsday.” I guess it’s true what they say about heartbreak and it being the best cure for making great art. Look for Adams to play Red Rocks later this month in what is sure to be a magical evening under the stars. Check tour dates here.
