There’s something about watching Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez from At the Drive-In/Mars Volta exchange musical jabs on stage. Couple that in with manic drummer, Tony Hajjar, and the glue that binds all together, bassist Paul Hinojos, and it’s almost if you had the whole band back together firing on all cylinders. The El Paso legends are out supporting their 2017 album, “in•ter a•li•a,” and tore up the Jimmy Kimmel stage in the process. Granted, there wasn’t any jumping and kicking much like the famous Letterman appearance. However, the guys shredded only like they know how to over years leaving nothing but decimated stages in the process after last night’s take on “Hostage Stamps.”
