Project Pabst successfully closed down several city blocks on a brisk Saturday afternoon to welcome throngs of fans looking to score a couple of PBR tall boys, public art and a meticulously curated lineup. In lieu of a heavy headlining act, the Pabst folks opted for the always popular and still incredibly sharp draw of Ice Cube. What fans didn’t anticipate was rapper Danny Brown stealing the show early with an exuberant performance with the aid of his stage deejay and a slick black leather jacket.

Phantogram played the role of the veteran festival act with major tours under their belt. Lest we forget their time with Big Boi in Big Grams. East Coast long haired guitar noodler, Kurt Vile, blended in well with an agreeable set time that placed Vile and the Violators during “golden hour.” Suffice to say, things were “Pretty Pimpin’.”
