Things are beginning to percolate in the world of dark wave rockers, Ambit.The trio of morose artists steadily have picked up steam with the release of the baritone laden “Guest House” a couple of months ago. Ambit rallies behind the ominous vocals of Eli Mishkin. The same lead vocalist of the defunct cerebral rock act, Hot IQs. Things this time around are much different this go around with new bandmates. Long gone are the plucky tunes of the early 2000’s in favor of a polished melodic dance number.
“Marshy” almost feels like two separate tracks, with producer Jeffrey Wentworth Stevens taking the reins on the last bit of the number flexing his production skills. Look for an official release of “Marshy” officially on May 5 via Spotify and iTunes.
