The double standard is prevalent in today’s society more than we know. Most notably, the catastrophic Hurricane Matthew pulverizing everything in its’ trajectory and leaving a trail of disaster everywhere it goes. In the wreckage, Haiti was left in complete shambles. Not a peep in the social media circus to give any credence to the terrible circumstances like there was when first world nations like France experience any type of untimely events. “Pray for France” they say. No filters, no hashtags. Radio silence.
