Welcome to the 2016-2017 NFL season.Last night saw my beloved Denver Broncos take on the Carolina Panthers in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl. What fans were treated to was a tightly heavy hitting contested game where Cam Newton’s helmet was rattled as much as a carnival game on a Friday night. Despite several blunders on the behalf of the rookie quarterback from Denver, Young Trevor seems poised to be the next QB for the Broncos. The Northwestern product is unique athlete that doesn’t fear an oncoming bull-rush with a fresh set of legs that would make Steve Young proud.

Despite the large amount of missed penalties on both sides, last night’s ball game came down to several inches. Mainly with the hook of a certain Panther kicker that nailed a practice kick right in the middle.

The future of the young season is looking bright with a stout defense that looks as if they’re picking up right where they left off from last year’s Super Bowl win and a pedestrian offense looking to be more well balanced with a fierce running attack (save for CJ Anderson’s fumbling backup).
