The NFL season was to have started with the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio this past Sunday. The operative word is “was,” but due to poor field conditions, the game DID NOT go on. Thursday night at 5PM MST will mark the first official preseason game for the 2016-2017 season with a full slate of games that evening.

NBC and the NFL look to kick things off on the right foot September 8 with a sixty minute pregame show beginning at 5:30PM at Civic Center Park in the middle of downtown Denver with a few of their friends: country crooner Dierks Bentley and FM radio mainstays OneRepublic Heck, we may even get the Sheriff (Peyton Manning) up on stage with Dierks. There is no mention of ticket prices, however, logic would dictate to get to Civic Center Park early and on public transportation.

The crossover of pop and country stars, OneRepublic and Dierks Bentley isn’t so far fetched. The two acts collaborated on an episode of CMT’s “Crossroads” blending their unique musical stylings with much ease. Following the show and a swift ride on the “15L” across Colfax, YOUR Denver Broncos are scheduled to defend their Super Bowl title in the first regular season game in a rematch with Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. No dabs, Cam.
