As the summer winds down, that can only mean that football season looms over the horizon.Last night showcased a full tilt of games that included local favorite, the Denver Broncos. In the shellacking of the lowly Chicago Bears, the quarterback controversy didn’t clear up much. Mark Sanchez surgically eviscerated the Bears’ defensive unit in the first series with calculating precision. That was until the second series where “butt-fumble” “the Sanchize” coughed an interception. The 2016-2017 proves to be a year where the offense needs to be remain serviceable and conservative with the ball. No risks. If Coach Kubiak can manage to teach the offense not to turn the ball over, the defense is where this team shines and will win ball games. Game over.
