Mylko is leading a new crop of electronic artists from Mexico that are charting a new direction for the scene south of the border. Jose Pablo Ibarra (“Jopa”) and Patricio Dávila Sanchez (“Pato”) make up the Chilangolandia based act set to self release their first album, “Contrast,” September 30. After multiple spins, it’s evident that the duo’s emphasis is reliant on songwriting versus digital landscapes often crafted by contemporaries.
